The Center for Innovation in Risk, Catastrophes, and Decisions (CIRCAD) is pleased to announce its inaugural group of partners. CIRCAD is supported by the National Science Foundation as an Industry–University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC), a model that brings together academic research and industry collaboration to address complex, real-world challenges. These organizations represent leaders across the insurance, risk analytics, and disaster resilience sectors and will collaborate with CIRCAD to advance research addressing catastrophic risk and complex decision-making.
CIRCAD’s inaugural partners include:
American Family Insurance
Aon
Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety
Liberty Mutual
NASA
USAA
WTW
Through this partnership network, CIRCAD will work with industry and government leaders to develop new insights, tools, and approaches that improve how individuals, organizations, and communities anticipate, manage, and recover from catastrophic events. As an NSF-supported IUCRC, CIRCAD is uniquely positioned to facilitate sustained collaboration between researchers and practitioners, ensuring that its work is both scientifically rigorous and directly relevant to industry needs.
The partners will engage with CIRCAD researchers through collaborative projects, knowledge exchange, and strategic dialogue focused on advancing the science of risk and improving decision-making under uncertainty.
